Edgetech I.G. announced that Erick Sharp has accepted the position of quality manager for the company’s manufacturing operations in the UK. In this one-year assignment, Sharp will be responsible for quality assurance and launching silicone product production at Edgetech UK located in Coventry, England.

 

“Erick brings a high level of knowledge of Edgetech’s materials, engineering, quality and production practices,” said Todd Haney, director of operations for Edgetech. “His assistance will be invaluable as we expand our product lines in the UK to accommodate the evolving needs of our global customer base.”

 

In addition to implementing quality systems, testing protocol and training for the silicone product line, Sharp will be responsible for creating quality performance metrics, standardizing best manufacturing practices and supplier relations.

Sharp joined Edgetech in 2002 as an engineering technician. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from Zane State University and has been working most recently in the capacity of materials and product development engineering.

 

Edgetech UK began its production operations in 2007 and is the only dedicated warm edge technology extrusion facility in the UK.
