Super Spacer® TriSeal™ for architectural and captured glazed units
Super Spacer® TriSeal™ offers optimal performance and durability to satisfy the toughest commercial glazing demands including silicone structural glazing (SSG).TriSeal is a true dual seal warm edge spacer system with a butyl (PIB) primary seal and a choice of silicone, polyurethane, polysulfide, DSE/DSA or hot melt secondary seal.
TriSeal is unique in that it also contains a third structural seal made of permanent acrylic adhesive that will add increased durability for a longer product life and a warmer edge of glass, even in the most demanding applications. The added barrier also captures the butyl (PIB) and prevents it from thinning and creeping into the sightline – keeping systems made with TriSeal aesthetically pleasing and the primary seal in tact for the life the product.
More Super Spacer TriSeal Features and Benefits:
Reduced Sealant Stress (Tech Info)
Super Spacer’s thermoset silicone polymer material expands and contracts to its original shape. Rigid spacers do not accommodate for the natural expansion and contraction caused by UV exposure, thermal expansion, wind loads and barometric pressure, which lead to stress cracks and seal failure. As a result, Super Spacer lasts up to five times longer in durability tests over conventional single seal spacer systems.
Improved Heat Flow Resistance (Tech Info)
Super Spacer resists heat flow at a rate of 950 times more than metal-based spacer systems. This translates to lower energy costs, less condensation/frosting and reduced chances for mold growth.
Improved Condensation Resistance (Tech Info)
The significantly reduced tendency of IG units fabricated with Super Spacer to exhibit interior condensation or frosting means that health concerns associated with mold and bacteria can be virtually eliminated.
Improved Sound Absorption (Tech Info)
The closed cell polymer foam in Super Spacer transmits very little sound when compared to conventional metal-based spacers – up to two decibels of improvement.
